I finally got the reupholstering projects done. Two chairs and a phone table in teak finally got new covering with this fabric from Marimekko, that goes with the birds on the wall where the phone table is placed, without looking obviously matched (I'll shoot that later). I love how the branches almost smoothly (!) continues from one chair to the next.
We (mostly Joshua, Fredrik and Martin) have been working on building – yes, building for real with walls, insulation, windows, a door and the whole kit – a conference room at our studio. I'll try to get the spackling done this week so it can be painted the next, and then finally we'll get to the fun of decorating it! We're having sort of a "new start" at Kryddfabriken (The Spice Factory, the name of our studio space); building the room, cleaning up in general, recycling tons of old bottles and cans, and we also got a new coffee maker with a very serious ambition – we'll now have the best coffee in town! Welcome over for a cup!
What else? We're still, among other things, working on our web site. It's very close now, and it'll be launching within a few weeks. Today we did some photo shoots for the site, but as we still haven't made the final-final picks I'll hold off a little to post the drop-outs.
Obviously, things have been pretty busy lately but in between chores we've been enjoying crayfish parties (maybe somebody recognizes me and Cajsa) and our little musician Ezra. Little E is imitating his (our's too luckily) big-time favorite Dan Zanes
(we're spending lots of time watching the new videos and learning the routines...) from early morning until late night, and he's in heaven right now as
we, after weeks of begging, got him a mandolin from "Swedish Craig's
List". The little movies are from our friend and Leo's godfather Nuno's Scandinavia-trip collection.
