Thanks to beauties-in blue, friends, a great dinner, and, and, and..!

There's so much to be thankful for.
Today we had a wonderful late (as Thanksgiving isn't a holiday here) Thanksgiving dinner with our friends Tina-Maria and Simon, and their children Camilla and Adrian. Above, a few experimental pictures of the cute little mates, Leo and Adrian.

Below, some pic's from the great dinner that we all cooked together! What a nice Thanksgiving – I'm really looking forward to it being a tradition of ours even here in Sweden!

The recipe for the Thanksgiving dinner that we tried out – and loved – already last year when celebrating the holidays in Florida. Here's where we got the recipe from, and this is the shopping list. Simple – although it takes a little more than an hour – and VERY good! For dessert, Tina-Marie made an awesome apple pie, unfortunately not captured by me, but that, and lots of other things, can be admired over at Joshua's Flickr account. He's so high tech – takes pictures with his cell phone, and have them up on Flickr the following moment :)

Happy New Year!

We managed to pick up that Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year of 5768, is approaching – thanks to family and the Internet. I tell you it isn't easy to keep up with the Jewish calender in Malmö, unless you have one, and the rabbi moving away from our neighborhood doesn't help... Well, after a dinner of chicken tikka masala (maybe not that appropriate, but hey, we're far from New York and the ubiquitous Jewish food stores), we started out the new year sweet, with apples picked in our friends garden and lots of honey to dip the tart apple pieces in. Yummy for the tummy for the whole family – and Happy Rosh Hashanah everybody!

Everything bagels and sea serpents

Now there are actually real Everything Bagels Made in Sweden! Joshua started this project, trying to figure out how to make real Brooklyn style bagels – in our kitchen. The plan is to make, let's say around fifty (!) bagels for the launch party of our web site next Thursday..! I'm pretty happy that I'm the one in charge of the Brooklyn style beverages. We'll see how it goes with The Making of Bagels, but as you can see above, and below, the first batch came out very well, and I'm especially amazed how perfect the "everything" topping is – so yummy! I took several trips to the kitchen that night, just to smell the garlic-salt-sesame seed-poppy seed mix...

PS. Thanks, Nuno, for the initiative to check in with FedEx on how to ship fresh bagels overseas! We've got some amazing friends for sure.
