Back into the swing.

As somebody might have noticed, I haven't been a very frequent blogger lately (ever since I started spending too much time over at Flickr...), but as my last post was just after the presidential election, I thought it would be appropriate to try to get back into the swing of things today – the day of Barack Obama's inauguration. A new life...

I'd really like to share this most beautiful little dance (it's in Swedish, but scroll over the arrows to the right), that a friend and a great designer, Tintin Blackwell, posted on her website today, in honor of the new president. I'm in awe of those shoes, and I totally love Tintin's dance!

Am I dreaming, or is Obama really the president now..?!

Had to post a picture from Leo's first movie date... They went to see Laban the ghost – accompanied by one father and one mother. She'd told her parents that she and Leo got married yesterday, and that she wanted to take him to the movies today. What can you say...

May I present...

...my very sweet godson Luke, who recently turned two. Another beautiful boy of "mine", lucky me.
His mother was inspired by the last post, and made this excellent poladroid of a photo taken by either Luke's father or his big brother Joshua. However, they're both great photographers.

Today I found this free application called Poladroid, that makes digital polaroids of your pictures. Pretty addictive – one (the one that worked out the best color wise so far...) also ended up on Flickr.

A perfect Friday night

A glass of cheap champagne, knitting and some good music on the iPod. Can a Friday night be better..?

This tiger is just for testing my newly discovered option to upload pictures from my Flickr account to the blog. Don't know how useful it's going to be, but as it's a lot quicker to upload pictures to Flickr that to Typepad, it might be a good thing.

after viewing it - not so happy with that black frame and the fact that the picture gets cropped. maybe there's a way to fix that too. we'll see.

The birthday prince photo was added to Soulemama's favorites on Flickr – fun!

The idea and the pattern for the birthday crown, that Leo was wearing in the last post, is from a book called The Creative Family (see book list in the left column). The author, whose blog I keep coming back to for some parental insight and inspiration, has a group on Flickr, where projects from the books can be shared. So now Leo and the crown are represented there.
